The deputy reported smelling alcoholic beverage coming from Lawrence's car and then asked her about the damage her car had. She didn't call for help or try to render aid before leaving. Lawrence followed Scott into the back parking lot of the Dollar General Store hitting him and leaving the scene with Scott's bicycle trailer pinned under her car.

UPDATE JUNE 16th 2020: Frankie Mae Price, 26 was arrested and charged with eaving the scene of a fatal accident. he was riding on the road because the trail was not plowed. He was a member of the Cedar Falls Bike Pedestrian committee. He was hit coming home from work on early Sunday morning. Gerrick was a seasoned year-round commuter, did not own a car (by choice) and was always well lit. Gerrick was a victim of an early Sunday morning crash in the 1800 block of Greenhill Road.
